Embroidery or DTF printing: choosing a finish for your logo

Begin with the artwork and the garment

A company logo has to work on a moving, textured surface. Start with the garment you want your team to wear, then consider the size of the artwork, the amount of small lettering and whether it contains gradients or fine lines. A finish that suits a simple chest emblem may need a different approach for a larger back design.

Share the original artwork with the Sungrace team before confirming production. The preview helps you compare positions and proportions; the final production artwork still needs review.

When to discuss embroidery

Embroidery creates the design with thread. It is an option for a compact company emblem or name on polos, corporate shirts and other team garments. Small lettering and closely spaced details may need adjustment so the design remains readable in stitches.

Sungrace’s listed embroidery additions are ₹50 for the left chest, ₹50 for the right chest and ₹100 for the back, per garment. Selecting all three adds ₹200 per garment. There is no embroidery setup charge in the website estimate. Garment cost, GST and delivery are separate.

When to discuss DTF printing

DTF means direct-to-film printing: the design is printed onto a film and transferred to the garment. Discuss it when your artwork contains several colours or a larger graphic. Ask the team to review the design size and the fabric before choosing the finish.

DTF pricing is confirmed after artwork review. The website estimate includes the garment and any selected embroidery; it does not include an unapproved DTF charge. You can choose embroidery for one position and DTF for another.

Prepare a useful preview

Upload a separate PNG, JPG or WebP for each selected position, up to 8 MB per file. A transparent PNG avoids a rectangular background around your logo. Use a clear source file rather than a screenshot of a small logo.

Left and right refer to the wearer’s sides. Switch between front and back to review every placement. Adjust the position and size, then inspect the design at a useful viewing scale. Embroidery and print effects on screen illustrate the intended finish; they are not production proofs.

Confirm before placing a bulk order

Ask the team to confirm artwork readability, decoration method, garment shade, placement and final charges. Where detail or colour is particularly important, discuss a sample before approving bulk production. Keep the approved artwork and order specification for future repeat orders.
